My Morning Green Smoothie that's Actually Delicious (and works)!

May 6, 2025 Megan Ward

Let’s be real: I used to roll my eyes at people who swore their green sludge smoothie gave them energy and glowy skin. But now… I am that person.

This smoothie?

She’s vibrant. She’s refreshing. She’s giving “I’ve got my life together” even when I don’t. And the best part? It actually tastes good and makes me feel so much better in the mornings—less bloat, more energy, and for the first time in years, I’m actually exercising again!

⸻

Here’s What You’ll Need:

• 1 banana (fresh or frozen)

• ½ cup frozen mango chunks

• ⅓ cup frozen pineapple chunks

• 1 scoop Truvani unflavored collagen peptides

• 1 tablespoon ground flaxseeds

• ½ to 1 tsp frozen crushed ginger (or a small fresh chunk)

• Juice of ½ lime

• 1 cup frozen spinach (note: rotate your greens— try kale, arugula..etc)

• Water or coconut water (start with 1 cup and adjust as needed)

• Optional: Ice cubes for extra chill

⸻

Instructions:

1. Add the water (or coconut water) to your blender first.

2. Then layer in everything else—greens, fruit, powders, and finally, the flax and collagen on top.

3. Blend in stages if it gets foamy (I personally blend my water and greens first, then blend a second time with remaining ingredients).

4. Pour it in a cute glass. Sip and enjoy the mild but tropical taste! Even my picky 7 year old loves it.

⸻

Why It Works:

• Banana and pineapple = energy and sweetness

• Spinach and flax = fiber and digestion support

• Collagen = glowing skin and joint love

• Ginger and lime = zesty, anti-bloat power couple

• Coconut water = bonus electrolytes if you’re fancy

⸻

Let me know if you try it—and fair warning: you might just become that smoothie person too. No regrets.
